Crispy Mangalista Pork Belly Bites with Honey-Sriracha Glaze

Ingredients:

Mangalista pork belly (cut into 1-inch cubes)

Salt and pepper

1 tbsp olive oil

2 tbsp honey

1 tbsp Sriracha sauce (or more, depending on spice preference)

1 tbsp soy sauce

1 tbsp rice vinegar

Sesame seeds (optional)

Fresh cilantro or green onions (for garnish)

Instructions:

1. Season and Sear the Pork Belly:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Season the pork belly cubes generously with salt and pepper. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the pork belly cubes and cook until browned and crispy on all sides (about 6-8 minutes). Transfer the pork belly to a baking sheet.

2. Make the Glaze:
In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, Sriracha, soy sauce, and rice vinegar. Pour the glaze over the cooked pork belly bites, tossing to coat evenly.

3. Bake for Extra Crispiness:
Place the glazed pork belly bites in the oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until crispy and caramelized.

4. Serve:
Garnish with sesame seeds and fresh cilantro or chopped green onions. Serve as an appetizer or snack!
